The founder’s journey
Barbara Craveiro (Babi) is an entrepreneur with a passion for scents, psychology, arts and design. She has a diverse professional background – consulting, M&A, start-ups, stock market, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.
In 2016, she founded BdeBloom, a boutique wedding planning company based in Rio de Janeiro- Brazil, before starting Letter B.
Letter B’s soul has been shaped by Babi’s meticulous attention to detail, experience, and deep passion for her work.
Babi gained valuable insights and inspiration from her family members. Her grandfather’s love for reading, her aunt’s passion for painting, her father’s business acumen and her mother’s public relation skills all contributed to her growth and development.
Work life can be an exhilarating experience – goals evolving, strategies shifting, people coming and going. Despite the excitement it brings, it can become emotionally draining from time to time.
Babi discovered that incorporating practices such as meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises, as well as expressing herself through arts, helped her effectively manage the emotional highs and lows of life. These tools have allowed her to find inner peace and tranquility amidst the fast-paced and often chaotic world.
Babi believes that arts can serve as a powerful link between one’s emotions, personal growth, and mental wellbeing. That’s Letter B mission – to uplift the artistic side we all have through things she loves: Scents, arts, creativity, and reflections.
How did we start? A combination of hobbies created Letter B.
In the vibrant city of London, lived a person with a unique set of hobbies.
Hobby 1 – Breathing fragrances and nature.
Hobby 2 – Writing reflections of life. Initially shared on an anonymous blog (later to become our letters).
Hobby 3 – Doodling. During meetings at work, a fun way to stay calm and focus, drawing silly and random things on meeting papers.
Hobby 4 – Scrapbooking. In a sketchbook, she crafted intricate picture collages using a mix of images, sentences, and mementos collected from her travels. (later to become Letter B brand book).
Hobby 5 – Journaling. It connected the dots of thoughts, understanding the scents, reflections, and doodles. This evolving journal would become something more significant – a project Babi lovingly named “Letter B,” a chronicle of her journey, a testament to the beauty found in life’s simple details.
